Goa
AI consulting for Goa villas,
small hotels and design studios
I am in Mumbai, a short flight away. Most of a Goa build runs on calls, WhatsApp and shared links, and I come down for the audit and the handover where the work needs it.
I work from Mumbai. No office in Goa, no staff there, and no property of mine to point at. What I do have is a way of building that fits a business with a season, a small team and an owner who is often elsewhere.
Goa businesses are mostly small and mostly seasonal. A few villas with caretakers and housekeeping, a boutique hotel, a design or furniture studio working for clients who are not in the state. The work that eats the week is answering enquiries, handing a property over between staff, and writing down what happened. Those are the three I would look at first.
Where I am, and how I get there
Mumbai. Goa is close enough that the audit and the handover are easy to arrange in person. The design and the build happen remotely, on accounts and a machine in your name.
Enquiries stop falling through
Instagram, WhatsApp, email and the booking sites all land somewhere different. An Agent answers from one place, keeps every enquiry in a list, and follows up on the ones that went quiet.
Built for staff who change each season
A system that needs training is no use in October. The Agent works inside WhatsApp, so a caretaker hired for the season can use it on the first morning.
The owner gets the record from anywhere
Photographs, checklists and the day's handover arrive already written up, so an owner in Mumbai or Bengaluru knows what happened at the house without ringing anybody.
The quiet months are the build months
A build started in the monsoon gets installed and tested while the properties are empty. By the time the season opens, the thing has already survived a dull stretch.
A year with a season in the middle of it
Nothing about a Goa business is steady through the year. Enquiries for the season start arriving long before the guests do, the season itself leaves nobody time to set anything up, and the monsoon empties the place. Staff come and go with that curve, and so does anyone's patience for a new system.
So the shape of a build matters here. The quiet months are when a system gets installed, loaded with last season's enquiries and this season's rates, and tested while a mistake costs nothing. By the time the enquiries pick up, the only new thing anybody has to do is read a WhatsApp message.
It also changes what is worth building. Rates that move with the season, minimum stays that change, a property closed for part of the year. An enquiry Agent that does not know those things will quote the wrong figure confidently, so it reads them from a sheet you keep and can edit yourself.
A house, a caretaker, and an owner in another city
The common arrangement here is a property the owner does not live in. A caretaker, a housekeeper, a cook who comes in, a manager looking after several houses, and an owner in Mumbai, Delhi or Bengaluru who finds out what happened by calling somebody.
That is a handover problem before it is an AI problem. What works is a short WhatsApp exchange at the start and the end of a stay. The staff send photographs and say what is low or broken, in their own words, and the Agent turns it into a written record against the right property, with the linen, the gas, the water tanker and the things that need a plumber.
The owner then reads one message instead of making calls. The record sits in accounts you own, so the next manager inherits the history rather than starting again. AI for hotels and villas goes through the guest side of it.
Design studios, and work that is not in Goa
The other kind of Goa business I would expect to hear from is a studio. Architecture, interiors, furniture, a small brand. The team is here, the clients are not, and the work moves by WhatsApp, email and files that go missing between versions.
For a studio the useful builds are the dull ones. Where is the latest drawing, what did the client approve, what did we say about the budget in September, which supplier has still not come back. A model on a machine you own can read your own project folders and answer that, and the drawings never leave the studio. There is more on AI for architects and designers.
When a machine of your own is the wrong answer
For a villa business of a handful of people, buying a computer to run a model in the house is usually more than the job needs. Agents running on accounts you own will do the work, and I will say so rather than sell hardware into a two-person operation.
The machine starts to make sense when there is material you do not want leaving the building, a hotel with guest records, a studio with client drawings, or a team large enough that per-person software costs have begun to annoy you. I would rather you got to that point and then bought it.

Questions people ask
Do you have an office in Goa?
No. I am in Mumbai. I come to Goa for the audit and the handover where a project needs it, and the rest runs on calls, WhatsApp and shared links. I have built a concept site for a coworking villa here, which is a demonstration of mine and not a client.
Can an Agent answer guest enquiries on WhatsApp and Instagram?
Yes. It answers from your own rates, availability and house rules, keeps every enquiry in one list, and follows up on the quiet ones. Anything it is unsure of goes to a person with the reply already drafted. It asks before it sends anything.
Our staff change every season. Will they manage it?
That is the main design constraint here. The Agent lives in WhatsApp, so a caretaker hired for the season sends a voice note or a photograph exactly as they would to the manager. There is no app to install and no password to remember.
When is the right time to build, given the season?
In the quiet months. A system installed during the monsoon can be loaded with your rates and last season's enquiries and tested while nothing is at stake. Starting a build in the middle of a full season rarely goes well, because nobody has any attention to give it.
Does the property need good internet?
For the WhatsApp side, ordinary mobile data is enough. If you run a machine of your own it keeps working through a power cut or a line failure and catches up when the connection returns. Anything that has to reach the outside world waits until it can.
How much does this cost for a small villa business?
I do not publish rates, and for a small operation the honest answer is usually that it needs less than you expect. The quote follows the audit and names what is being built and on whose accounts. What moves it is how many systems get joined up and whether any hardware is needed at all. There is no monthly software subscription for what I build.
Do you do the website and the 360 walkthrough as well?
Yes. Sites, the enquiry system behind them, web AR and clickable 360 walkthroughs are part of the practice. For a villa or a hotel they usually reduce the number of questions a guest asks before booking. See AR and 360 for business.
